School Programs

The Seneca County General Health District supports, maintains, and delivers a wide variety of public health initiatives which promote healthy student activities, choices, and prevent disease and injuries.  Student health is related to success in the classroom and the following programs make a positive impact on student health and academic success.

The Seneca County General Health District has Public Health Nurses serving as school nurses and delivering direct care to students in coordination with their healthcare providers and families, keeping students healthier and in the classroom.

The Vision Program provides comprehensive examinations in order to promote learning through better vision.

Do you have a student who plays sports, is a cheerleader, is in the band, or participates in community intramural sports or activities ?


All Teens 12 years to 18 years are now eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. For teens and college students who start practices August 1st, in order to be fully vaccinated they should receive their two-dose series of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines by June 27th.
